He is not my Dad but he is the father of my babies (Dad Rhoo passed away in 2021 - love him still). I just want to celebrate someone who is still here with us and truly deserves this shout out.

I could write a book about how amazing is but one thing that stands out about him is how devoted he is to the children we share together. Most Swazi men are raised with the mentality that a woman's place is in the kitchen but he has been exemplary in showing me how a home can be made warm by 2 people.

I remember having to travel to Kazakhstan for work and I HAD to go. There was no way around it. Tell me why he survived being left ALONE with a 4 month old baby girl with Clubfoot and a 10 year old? He had to weather the storm of her being weaned off the breast abruptly and teach her formula in my absence. He had already been bathing her since birth so I was definitely not worried about all that and diaper changes. That little girl is now 2 but trust me, her favourite person is Daddy. Sometimes she calls me Daddy before correcting herself! Isn't that truly special?

I just want to say, anyone can be a father but it takes a special responsibility to be a dad. 🫡

To my grandfather and uncles; they always say family is everything and you showed me what that means . My father was absent, but you made sure I never felt unloved. Thank you for filling those gaps with your time, advice and heart . Happy Father’s Day to you and to all fathers out there.

Eversince I was born I've never seen/heard about my real father. I grew up at my grandmother's place where my mother left me to get some jobs and fortunately he also got me a caring and kind hearted father figure. I started calling the name 'dad' when I met him. I remember I was doing grade 3,he was staying with my mother at that time and he welcomed me to stay with them. That's where I got comfort. My dad raised me as a single parent as I had lost my mom when I was 3 years old, on April (a month before my birthday) and he was always a busy man as he worked far from us and we'd only get to see him on holidays, when he retired on 2020 that's when I got to know him. We bonded very well unfortunately I lost him on 2023, and not a day passes by without missing him. He was my superhero, we shared laughter, jokes, we'd travel places with him infact I'd like to call him my first love. I'd choose him in the next life to be my father again, I loved that man!

My father passed away in 2010 and for a long time I wondered whether anyone could ever fill the void he left behind. Then came Mr Wandile Motsa, a man who did not simply step into my life as a stepfather but as a father figure in every sense of the word.

Through his love, guidance, patience and support, he changed the narrative I once had about stepfathers. He showed me that fatherhood is not defined by blood alone, but by presence, sacrifice and genuine care. He believed in me when I doubted myself, encouraged me to keep pushing forward and stood by me during life’s challenges.

Today, I am deeply grateful for Wandile Motsa. He has honoured my late father’s memory not by replacing him, but by ensuring that I never had to walk through life without a father’s love and guidance. His impact on my life is immeasurable, and I will forever be thankful for the role he continues to play in shaping the person I am becoming.

My Daddy, My Hero

A hero does not always wear a cape. Sometimes a hero carries books instead of swords, wisdom instead of wealth, and love instead of power. My daddy was such a hero.

My father was a devoted educator and a respected head teacher at Nkhaba Primary School, where he faithfully served until his retirement in 1999. He dedicated his life not only to teaching children in the classroom but also to nurturing his own family with unwavering love and sacrifice.

Raising one child is a great responsibility, but my daddy raised eighteen children—myself and my seventeen siblings. Through hard work, discipline, and determination, he made sure that each one of us received tertiary education. He believed that education was the key to a better future, and he invested everything he had to ensure that his children would succeed in life.

There were certainly challenges along the way. Providing for such a large family was no easy task. Yet, my father never gave up. He taught us the values of honesty, hard work, humility, and perseverance. He led by example and showed us that true success is measured not by riches, but by the lives we touch and the legacy we leave behind.

Even after retiring in 1999, the lessons he taught us continued to guide our lives. His wisdom became our foundation, and his sacrifices became our inspiration.

In December 2010, our beloved father passed away, leaving behind a legacy that can never be erased. Though he is no longer with us physically, his spirit lives on through his children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives he touched.

To us, he was more than a father. He was our teacher, provider, guide, and hero.

Daddy, your work on earth is done, but your legacy lives forever. May your soul rest in eternal peace. You will always be remembered with love, gratitude, and pride.

Not all fathers can play a vital role in their children's life, so I salute fathers who are present in the life of their kids. Nhlakanipho Mncube is one of those best fathers I know. He has been there for his child Ashley, from day one. The mother of the child passed on right after giving birth to their child, and the father has been there, changing diapers and buying formula until the child grew to an extent that she is now doing grade 3. Even now he is not in the right financial position since he lost his work but he would rather starve and push for her daughter to atleast have that pocket money, he makes time for her and play with her, a relationship I never experienced with my own father. He further try to be a father figure to my own child, whom his father does not have time for, you will find him playing with the kids and even watching cartoons with them. Thumbs up to all daddies like him out there.

I would love to appreciate each and every responsible fathers. I'll dedicate this message specifically to me. I lost my dad when I was only nine years old. I grew up without a father figure. When mom passed away I was expecting my first baby. Growing up I wanted to be better father, supporting my children emotionally , financially and otherwise and I'm doing exactly that. My Uncle is my hero in every way. I thank God for his presence in my life, when my biological father died, he took over as our father to me and my two siblings. I remember one day when I got position 5 to proceed to Form 5, he appreciated me with a trip to his place in Cape Town, that was super amazing to me. He built a sanctuary of love out of sheer determination, anchoring our home in Scripture and prayer.

Ngiyabonga kakhulu kuye waMkhulandle for being my earthly anchor when the waves were high, my compass when the path was blurred, and the primary guide who pointed me directly to the Cross. He showed me what it means to walk through life with purpose, a kind heart, and a soul completely surrendered to God.

If I am capable of standing tall today, it is only because I am standing on the giant shoulders of the incredible father who raised me and taught me to kneel before God. Happy Father’s Day to sthandwa sami, my ultimate hero, my mentor, and my greatest blessing.

I will never forget my time at tertiary . As a self-sponsored student, I poured my entire heart and soul into that semester. Am a father myself and it's only fair I just talk about the father figure I am to my 8 year old kid.Growing up I didnt have a father figure which made things a bit tricky for me I vowed to be a present and good father to my kid and play that role to my wife since her father also passed on.Being present for both of them, physically, emotionally, financially is what keeps me going as my wife is open to sharing family things with me without hesitation.My kid looks up to me and not even afraid to let the whole school know that am "daddy"..not every man is a husband or a father but it takes special one to become a father that even spouses are proud off..big up to me

I never grew up with my biological father. Somehow I think it was blessing in disguise. I grew up with a stepfather. I always say to people or my friends that I don’t have a step father but I have a father. He has done the best he could ever do for me. Till today. When I got married he is the one who handed me over. His brother were also there. He is a good man. May the good Lord continue blessing him abundantly.
